ABOUT

Lauren Jorgensen is a classically trained soprano based in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, and is continuing her ongoing training with soprano Romana Noack. She made the move to Germany from her native state of California,USA back in February 2023 and has been settling since.

Ms. Jorgensen is an alumni of the Weimar Lyric Opera Studio 2022 and credits her admission through the help of her then teacher, Milena Kitic. Here she sang the role of Zweite Dame and Zweite Knabe in their production of “Die Zauberflöte.” She trained for a month under numerous teachers and coaches including Karsten Huschke, Michael Schütze, and Jeanette Favaro Reuter. Following this program, she began making preparations to come to Germany while understudying the role of Susanna from Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” with The Musician’s Club of Pomona Valley.

She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Redlands, as well as her Bachelor of Arts in German. She performed frequently throughout her studying, singing roles such as Belinda from Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas,” Olympia from Offenbach’s “Tales of Hoffmann,”  and understudying the role of Ilia from Mozart’s “Idomeneo.” She performed internationally and participated in chamber ensembles while studying abroad in Vienna, Austria, as well as interning at Theater Heidelberg in Germany. 
Ms. Jorgensen is currently preparing for auditions for opera houses in Germany and is represented by the ZAV. Although not actively teaching at the moment, Lauren has accumulated over seven years of teaching voice and piano in group settings and privately.
